During the Timorasso revival (from near extinction) in the 90’s, Claudio took over his family’s lands, began selecting the best clones from their vineyards and giving the best sites over to this fickle grape variety. As one of the few ‘saviour’ producers, Claudio has some of the best experience with Timorasso that there is. Timorasso is a unique grape in the Italian world of wine; inherently rich, fresh and powerful with no need for oak, it is complex and capable of ageing. ‘Bricco San Michele’ is a youthful planting that covers 8 hectares on an east-facing hillside in Vho. This cru vineyard delivers a racy version of Timorasso at a ridiculously low price and in a smashing 1.5L format!
