Vineyard Area (2020):

Approx. 20 hectares between the limits of 180-300 metres above sea level.

Soil:

Clay, alluvial, sand

Grapes:

50-70% Nebbiolo, 30-50% combined of Uva Rara (Bonarda Novarese) and/or Vespolina, maximum 10% other red grapes.

Ageing:

22 months total with 12 in wood. Riserva 34 months total with 20 in wood.

Like Sizzano DOC, such tiny production in Fara DOC makes it very difficult to find these wines, even in Piedmont! This is the last DOC before the landscape transforms from hills to plains. There are a mere handful of producers.
